What is the goal of the program?
To give Irish Transition Year students an immersive experience in Spanish schools, improving their language skills and cultural awareness.
Who can participate in the program?
Irish students aged 15–17 who are in Transition Year and have chosen Spanish as a subject.
Where in Spain are the schools located?
Currently, the program is focused on schools in the Valencia region.
Do students travel alone or in a group?
Students usually travel in small groups, but individual arrangements may be possible depending on timing and availability.
Where do students stay during the program?
We work with local host families carefully selected by the school or through trusted contacts.
Are host families background-checked?
Yes, we ensure all host families are vetted and approved in cooperation with the schools.
Will students attend regular classes?
Yes. Students are integrated into the school’s normal class schedule to promote full language immersion.
Will there be Spanish support for students?
Students will receive basic support and orientation, but the goal is full immersion — they’ll be encouraged to adapt and learn through experience.
How long can students stay?
Options include 1 month, 2 months, or a full term (around 10–12 weeks).
